Baba Siddique’s Shooters Revealed Salman Khan Was Their Initial Target: Sources
Sources have revealed that the assailants involved in the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique had initially planned to target Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. This startling revelation emerged during the interrogation of suspects linked to the high-profile murder case.
Baba Siddique, 66, was gunned down on October 12 outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office in Bandra East, Mumbai. The attack was carried out by three gunmen who fired multiple shots, two of which hit Siddique in the chest. Despite being rushed to Lilavati Hospital, he was declared dead on arrival.
According to investigators, the accused disclosed that Salman Khan was among their original targets. However, the tight security measures surrounding the actor thwarted their plans. This information connects to an earlier incident on April 14, when two individuals on a motorcycle fired shots outside Khan’s Bandra residence. Those suspects, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were apprehended in Gujarat, and the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang later claimed responsibility for the attack.
Salman Khan has been the focus of several threats in recent months, largely attributed to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A recurring demand from these threats is for the actor to apologize for his involvement in a blackbuck poaching case or pay hefty ransoms. Incidents include a man claiming to be Bishnoi’s brother demanding Rs 5 crore, a vegetable seller from Jamshedpur threatening him, and a 20-year-old from Noida making a ransom call.
In light of these escalating threats, Mumbai Police have bolstered Salman Khan’s security to Y+ category, ensuring continuous protection. Additionally, advanced AI-powered surveillance systems and high-resolution CCTV cameras with facial recognition capabilities have been installed near the actor’s residence to enhance safety measures.
